The new accessible musical play equipment at Wemrock Brook School.
The RequestPrincipal Dr. Rebecca Seery and the Wemrock Brook PTA partnered with The Foundation to bring a Percussion Playground to Wemrock Brook — outdoor musical play equipment built so every student, regardless of ability, can explore rhythm, creativity, and play together. The grant funded the accessible instruments and installation, helping the PTA close the gap and get the space built before the last bell of the school year. The ImpactThe Percussion Playground is more than a set of instruments. It is an inclusive, accessible space where students can create, connect, and play together. It gives students new opportunities for self-expression, collaboration, social interaction, and joyful learning, while supporting cognitive, physical, and emotional development. Most importantly, it creates a space where every student can participate fully and confidently. That is the kind of opportunity The Foundation for MERS exists to expand, helping every student learn, grow, and lead. “We can't wait to hear the music — and see the smiles — this addition continues to bring to the Wemrock Brook community.”
— Dr. Rebecca Seery, Wemrock Brook Principal
