The RequestClark Mills Television (CMTV) is the school’s student-run studio and its primary communication hub — but outdated equipment limited it to pre-recorded broadcasts. Technology Teacher Simon Nortman partnered with the Foundation to replace that gear with a modern, high-definition live production setup: cameras, a switcher, audio, and streaming tools that let students plan, produce, and broadcast in real time. The ImpactCMTV now runs as a live HD studio and an interdisciplinary classroom. Students in grades 1–5 script, direct, time, troubleshoot, and deliver under a live clock — building communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while producing the morning broadcasts that connect the Clark Mills community and celebrate student achievement. All 468 Clark Mills students are reached — as viewers today and, in time, as crew. “More than a studio, CMTV is a classroom where students learn to tell their school’s story, live and in high definition.”
