The Harlem Wizards, basketball team, once again traveled to Manalapan on Saturday, September 17, 2022, for two games played in the MEMS School gym. The Wizards took on the MERS All-Stars, comprised of teachers, staff and administration from around the district.
Basketball aficionados were treated to great skills, teamwork, slick dribbling, alley-oops and crazy slams. The non-hoop fans attending found out that this is much more than just a basketball game. The games funny, theatrical, exciting and spectacular and the gym reverberated with oohs & aahs, laughter, enthusiasm.
The Foundation for MERS has had a successful partnership with The World Famous Harlem Wizards since 2015. We were thrilled to host the World Famous Wizards, again,” says Patricia Berger, President of the Foundation for MERS. “The whole community was happy to welcome them back and experience all their hoop artistry, tricks, and teamwork.”
