Laura Persico

Laura has been on the Board of Trustees since January 2016. She has chaired “Fun with your Son” and “Dance with your Daughter” Events. Laura looks forward to assisting The Foundation for MERS continue its success and contributions to our community. With a world that is changing by the minute. The Foundation for MERS is evaluating the districts needs and will continue to help our schools in this virtual world of technology.

Laura currently works for the Manalapan Englishtown Regional Schools as an Instructional Assistant in Milford Brook School.

Laura resides in Manalapan since 2001 with her husband Mario and their 3 children: Alexandria, Christopher, and Victoria. One or more of her children have been in the MERS district since 2006. Since being in the district for a long time, she felt her children were receiving a great education and she wanted to give back to the district. Laura’s passion is to provide the students and staff the tools they need to achieve the best education possible. She feels this is what molds them into the adults they will become and gives them a great foundation for life.

When her oldest daughter started elementary school, she volunteered as class mom, book fairs, holiday fairs etc. She started to realize this district had so many opportunities to support our students and staff. This is when her passion for helping the district began. Laura’s children loved seeing her become involved and showing support to the MERS district.

Laura looks forward to The Foundation for MERS next endeavor in our ever-changing world and will continue to wear many hats to raise money for all our schools.
