These are three words that resonate when thinking of our friend and colleague Janine. The Foundation for MERS had the wonderful fortune of having Janine as a trustee for over eight years. Her exemplary dedication to our mission and vision was seen in every task she undertook. She gave tirelessly and selflessly of herself to chair many events, solicit donations, obtain sponsors, attend meetings and fundraisers all while raising her family and being an active member of her church and school parent organizations. She was passionate about helping our district obtain the necessary resources so that each child could reach their full learning potential. Janine was the epitome of a team player and did everything with a smile and a wonderful sense of humor. She played an integral role in raising over $750,000 to donate back to our schools. Her life and role on our board will continue to be an inspiration for all of us!
